I really like Emerson and thought of it for my child! here are some Garrison Anderson (Andy & Addi) Harrison Emerson Dawson Ellison Hudson Jaxon Jason/Jayson Pierson I know not many of them are girl names. I think it is because in the "old days" the ending of son means "son of ____". I hope you find one you really like. You can still have the rhyme if you go with Kaitlyn or Jacqueline or Lauralyn, but if you're looking for that "son" ending then I guess you won't like those. Kierson... Don't know if you could really make it work, but it may be worth a try. | | | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 7,024 Senior Member | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 7,024 Senior Member | love 09-25-2008, 04:26 PM | | Emerson Allison Harrison | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 342 Full Member | 09-25-2008, 04:28 PM | | | | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 173 Full Member | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 173 Full Member | Went to school with 09-25-2008, 04:38 PM | | a Jocelyn/Joslyn | | | | | my votes... 09-25-2008, 04:47 PM | | Grayson/Grasyn or Allyson/Alison/Allison (I'm partial since thats my name!) | | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2,412 Senior Member | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2,412 Senior Member | 09-25-2008, 05:02 PM | | Since I just finished watching this weeks episode of the new 90210............ I have taught for 15 years and have never heard that name in my life. It's very original. I like it, I guess. His middle name is Stone. I suppose it (or another spelling of it) might work for a boy or a girl. Madison has always been a favorite of mine, but not with a sister named Addisyn! I will let you all know what we choose!! | | | | | did you decide? 05-05-2009, 12:36 PM | | I came across this for my own search on -son names for my second child. I named my daughter Emerson after Ralph Waldo Emerson and have seen it grow in popularity 3x fold. Wondering if you went with Emerson or another name. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 531 Senior Member | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 531 Senior Member | 05-05-2009, 01:52 PM | | Davidson Patterson | | | | | 06-03-2009, 06:52 PM | | I have 2 grandsons named Jackson and Hudson, the third boy is coming in a few months, and we hate to break the cycle. I like Carlson and Wilson my husband likes samson. Fun to see all the names ending in son I have 2 other grandaughters whose names are Emerson Lee and Elliott flynn (yes they are girls) | | | | | 08-31-2009, 06:06 AM | | I am having # 3... My daughter is Maddison, my little guy is Carson, and I was thinking Emmerson for a girl or Jaxson for a boy. So I just wanted to let you know I love the names!!! | | | | | 09-23-2009, 08:27 PM | | I have 3 children...Madison, Jackson and Emerson...Emerson is a boy. I personally think it is a very masculine name. He is named after my great great Grandfather Emory as Emerson means son of Emory. It saddens me that I've had this name picked out for my son, its in all of the baby name books under boys and since Terry Hatcher was on Desperate Housewives and became famous again, her daughter Emerson has changed the gender of the name. Just my personal opinion. Good luck with your baby, but I say if its a BOY you should name him Emerson. Its a strong name and he is certain to be born with great character. | | | | | I've got some 10-04-2009, 12:15 AM | | For girls: Maddison Ellison/Allison/Allyson For boys: Emerson Jackson Jayson Mason Tyson | | | Copyright © 2019 ProTeacher® For individual use only.
